Many accidents and fatalities occur because pedestrians run on railway platforms and hurriedly crossing the roads without sufficient safety measures. Existing systems lack real time monitoring and alerts to prevent dangerous behaviour in these busy areas , resulting in avoidable injuries and deaths.

This project proposes the development of smart footpath and platform sensor that detect unsafe pedestrian actions and immediately trigger alerts. By providing real time warnings and monitoring, these sensors aim to reduce risky behaviour and enhance overall public safety on roads and railway platforms . This project's name is TransitAware ; Enhancing public safety through intelligent movement monitoring .
